nitrates still?

Ammonia: ~0.25ppm?
Nitrates: 10ppm
Nitrites: 0ppm
pH: 8.0

These were taken just after i’d added some some TetraAqua EasyBalance, allegedly this keeps the aquarium water fresh for up to six months, we won’t be using it for this but it also claims to stabilise pH and in particular Nitrates, so we’ll be hoping that it sorts that out a bit. If the ammount of algae is reduced as well that’s a bonus, it’s looking rather unsightly on the stones, and blooming a little on the front/back of the tank.

We’ve added three plants to the tank today as well, Cardamine lyrata (#24) at the back left, Echinodorus bleheri (paniculatus)(#71) in the front left of middle and Bacopa caroliniana (#43) at the front right. These are extra ones to what we’ve already got, but i thought i’d better put the names down or i’d forget what they were! I like the first and last, but the middle one i don’t think is so nice, but that could just be ‘cos it’s in the way of my sight atm, and i like seeing what’s going on everywhere!
